Not all Chilli's are self pollinating. The Bhut Jolokias need help in pollinating as they produce very little pollen. I've been growing Bhut Jolokias for a few years and plants that are pollinated by hand produce more fruit and have less flower drop than plants that are left alone.

Well, in the end, i did get about 5 growing from the whole thing after i left it outside
( slugs got the other plant) However, they are so slow to grow that its just to late.

In the greenhouse i have had lots of success this year though. I had about 10 cayenne plants and a great harvest even after overfeeding half of them initially, they recovered. I would say i got about 50 ripe Cayenne all in all.

Bells and Jalapenos were started late(around april) and right now i have 2 of each plant doing nicely. About 40 jalapenos between the pair of plants, but no signs of ripening as of yet. I'll get a few pics later.
