Is my cherry tree poorly?

I have an edible english cherry tree.

The lower leave have started to dropp off. Some of the lower leaves are yellow with black spots.

There are lots of buds ready for next spring.

Do I have to worry

I've noticed quite a lot of trees around here are yellowing and dropping leaves in preparation for winter. Probably because the summer has been so dull and cold.

One of my cherry trees is looking very sorry for itself as are all the wild cherries in the neighbourhood. I lost a huge wild cherry to disease a few years ago and it looks as if the same is happening again. Certainly all the leaves on the wild cherries are shrivelled and brown. Can't send you any photos at the mo as I'm in the wrong house!

We have a stand of Wild Cherries which are about 18 years old. We were really worried in the begining of July to see the whole lot had lost all there leaves, really thought we must have some horrible disease but they have all started sprouting again since then. Several of my Horse Chestnuts have gone into early autumn but look really manky while thet are doing it. My stand of larch trees have all lost their needles on the coldest side so, like FB says I thinks we are into "seasonalmixup syndromis" which may be your problem, too.

Its planted in my paddock. My other cherry tree looks fine, its a different variety.

FB it does look like a tree in early autumn, not surprised with the weather we have had. My christmas trees have new growth on again, hazelnuts are sprouting catkins even though they have nuts ripening!!!!

Some photos of my sick cherry trees. The first three are a Stella about 6 years old, the fourth is a wild cherry about 20 feet away, and the last one is another healthy Stella, about 10 years old that is another 20' or so from both of the other trees (roughly a triangle)

Should I be worried?

I think it may be Cherry leaf Scorch Cherry leaf scorch and leaf spot / Royal Horticultural Society.
I can pick the dead leaves off the small tree but not a hope for the other one
What do you think, experts?
