Haven't tried but have ordered 2 crowns from Browns so we'll see in a year or two.

For anyone thinking of buying this rhubarb there are 2 ways of buying it from DTBrown.
            1. their own website with a p&p charge of £3.95 (but you could take advantage of any other offers at the same cost)
            2. from the KG mag shop (I won't put the address here but you can find it easily). They are also supplying these rhubarb plants from DTBrown at the same price but, if you pay £4.95 p&p (£1 more) you can have either 3 Free Garlic cloves or 3 Raspberry canes as well.
Just thought you might like to know!!

I don't think its all that new as a search of the forum came up with it mentioned twice in a thread in 2006 - but I don't recognise the names of the Grapes.

Morning, this is a bump to an old thread to ask - any feedback on Livingstone rhubarb? How it tastes, if it stays constant into Autumn?

I want to beef up my rhubarb on the plot and am looking for 3 different crowns to give us a crop for as much of the year as possible. I have a weedy Hawks Champagne and am thinking timperley early, holsteiner and this.

Mmm! I'm intrigued. I like the idea of rhubarb in autumn, wonder is it available in Ireland.

I planted 3 crowns of Livingstone at the beginning of 2014. As they are first year crowns I haven't picked any sticks this year but there was/is a very good crop of them. I did however have a severe infestation of blackfly on all three crowns of the Livingstone but no blackfly on any of the other varieties of rhubarb. So not sure if livingstone is prone to blackfly? I have never heard of any pests living on rhubarb before.

All my other Rhubarb has now died or dying back but the livingstone is still going strong.

I had blackfly on one of my Rhubarb plants for the first time ever. Don't know the variety, not Livingstone, but the blackfly have been bad this year probably because of the mild winter.
