    It should be fine, rhubarb isn't a crop that has to be pampered.

    As for cheap rhubarb, the cheapest place to get it would be a pound shop. Buy any variety, they're all good.

      We got ours from a friend who was moving hers to a different patch. Most folks that grow Rhubarb have more than they can handle and are happy to split you some.
