So, I've some vouchers to use before June or July or something like that - I quite fancy a couple of bareroot fruit trees from the place that the vouchers are for. I'm not ready for them yet, and won't be really until late summer I guess..
It's a peach and apricot - I'll be fan training them on a trellis panel when it's installed. could I order the trees, and just bang them in a pot for now, or would it be more beneficial to heel them in - I'm just wondering if it'll be too long, I mean I could plant them, but they'd probably need to be moved - I'm planning on getting a digger dropped over the wall into my garden to scrape everything out, pots would be easier to move. I could buy a couple of large pots, to help with the issue of them drying out - just not sure which method would be best so thought I'd throw it out there!
