It is that time of year again! The winter cherries in the park are in full bloom, and the wild plum tree - some of the sloe bushes have started - others are still in bud. So any time soon will be a good time to spot the frothy white bushes indicating your nearest source of sloesWhooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

We inherited 3 or 4 small sloe (blackthorn) bushes with our house. But last year when we were having some building work done the builder tipped (with a digger bucket) the soil that was excavated for some foundations. And where did he tip it? Yup over the terrace edge on top of our sloe bushes - GRRRRRRRR! In his defence we were out at the time and he didn't know that they were there. Just need to find some at the garden centre nowJust think happy thoughts
