Rosie has been chasing bees for a while! Dunno what I would do if she ever caught one.
I got all excited at the white blossom in the park - only to discover it is ornamental cherry
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

It is that time of year again! The winter cherries in the park are in full bloom, and the wild plum tree - some of the sloe bushes have started - others are still in bud. So any time soon will be a good time to spot the frothy white bushes indicating your nearest source of sloes

Most of the sloes around me in Surrey are still budding up

What else is in flower other than types of cherry? There's one tree with pure white blossom and it's not a sloe.

It could be a winter cherry- more of a tree than a bush.

We inherited 3 or 4 small sloe (blackthorn) bushes with our house. But last year when we were having some building work done the builder tipped (with a digger bucket) the soil that was excavated for some foundations. And where did he tip it? Yup over the terrace edge on top of our sloe bushes - GRRRRRRRR! In his defence we were out at the time and he didn't know that they were there. Just need to find some at the garden centre now
