we have been down in england on a visit and the other day we went to a shop called "the range" and found a very healthy looking early moorpark apricot tree,it does say on the label that it will grow to 10ft,but i will be training it at a much shorter height and putting it in a big pot, this will allow me to put it in the spare greenhouse thru the winter,as the weather in scotland in the winter is what damages these plants, the constant wet weather seems to destroy them,it is carrying two main branches (equal) so i shall be shortening them to encourage branching for this year at least, but after looking in all the usual stores for one for ages,to pick this up for £6.99 and it has a really good root mass, i think we will be okay with this one,if summer ever comes, rang home the other day to find that its warmer up there, mad weather conditions again, watched all the floods last year on tv,we just got our usual summer rain(its warmer than the winter rain)though sometimes its hard to tell, but that seems to be all the uk now....
