  • well i have done it

i have gone and ordered my fruit trees, my very first fruit tree ever and i am excited (sad i know) i have ordered a Apricot moorpark and a sunburst Cherry tree, they are small trees and can be grown in 30l pots, does anyone have any advice, i have a south facing wall in a sheltered spot from the wind. What should i plant them in and what is the best soil to use if i do pot them, any advice would be lovely.

Jon Innes No. 3 Soil I've found is the best planting medium. Make sure to water them in weekly during the summer, a decent drenching should help them settle in. Obviously, take into account actual rain.

The 30 litre pots should be fine for a season or two.

Make sure you sprinkle some Fish Blood & Bone around them in about two weeks time as they start to come out of dormancy. Or an equivalent non-nitrogen focused fertiliser.

    Otherwise, they should be fine!

Are these the trees that you're putting by the garage, or additional ones?
