    update on peach tree

well i got in touch with garden bargains and they were brilliant, they have ordered me another peach tree and said don't bother sending the other tree back just keep it.
i really can't complain how they have handle this, i had an email yesterday confirming that the peach has been ordered with no cost to myself, i am well pleased.

i can't wait, i was going to put my new one in a pot and keep it in the greenhouse for awhile, the other which i don't know if it will survive i might put that one in the ground and cut it right down so hopefully it will try and put some energy into the root system.
could you give me some advice on leaf curl, lots of sites say keep the tree covered from Dec-May to protect it from leaf curl, do you do this with yours.

Do not cut it right down, do a knee high cut and a bit to train an open vase shape ( alternative to central leader)
For the leaf curl try planting garlic and onion under the tree ( its what I manage to find on the net as an organic alternative to fight leaf curl), if you notice any sign of a leaf curl remove those leaves straight away and dispose of them. On my peach I had leaf curl only once in 4 years, and it was exposed all the time. You might be lucky with it. Plus red haven suppose to be resistant to it.
