I wondered if anyone has found a site which ID's fruit trees by their blossom?
The reason is that I picked up some 'sticks with roots on' from Lidl about 6 years ago- no labels but they were some type of variety of plum family.
All but 2 died - one gave 3 fruit last year for the first time- think it's a greengage- but the other one has borken into blossom today for the first time ever ( REALLY exciting!!!
)
No idea what it is but it has small white flowers spaced well apart. The tree has thorns on up to2" long.
I did think it was a mirabelle but having seen the flowers I'm not so sure now
Has anyone found a site I can compare my blossom on?
