  • Green Rhubarb?

Is there such an animal? I had two differing types of rhubarb, one i'd grown from seed and the other I inherited on my plot.
When I was given another variety I said "Thank you very much" but am now regretting it
My seed grown stuff is excellent. My inherited stuff is excellent but the the stems on the stuff I was given refuses to go red or even pink! It appears to be mature but hasn't any colour bar the the chlorophyic dark green on the stems.

Anyone else got a green rhubarb variety or is this the only one in existance?

I will try it, its just that it looks really sour and tart!
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

    Diversify & prosper

There is such a thing as green rhubarb that will never turn red. Not sure of much else but I'm going to have a look into it now as you've got me thinking.

    Could be a Riverside Giant???
