  • "Limp" currant plants

    Hi,
we're fairly new to this, and have three currant plants, whire, red & black
all seemed fine till yesterday, and this AM
All were bushy and green, one was even budding , now they all look limp . some of the leaves look like they're withering, and look very unwell.

any suggestions to what we've done wrong, and how to recover 'em

    thanks in advance

It's been very dry. Could they be short of water? Sometimes if the rootball in a pot dries out you seem to be giving it a lot of water but it's just dampening the top and draining off down the sides. Knock one out of its pot. It will tell you if it's dry and will also let you know if there's any grub atttack down below.

Mine are fine...I watered them really well (before all this rain) and then mulched 4 inches deep with grass clippings.
