Home made fruit cage

I've decided to try and build a fruit cage using electric conduit , at least I was going to but I can't work out how to connect the corners to the uprights without having to get in a man with a welding thingy! (though that might be quite nice !) The only connector bits I have seen (on Screwfix) are 2 and 3 ways but not upright and horizontals.

Anyone got any ideas please?

Might be worth a trip to a builders merchant with a sample of the conjuit you are using. I presume it is the galvanised steel type, which can be welded but the fumes are very noxious and you wouldn't get many volunteer welders to do it.
I have seen junction boxes with four outlets and elbows but there must be others?
You may be able to get elbows and tees for copper pipe that will fit? The compression joints with an olive in them would be easy to use but quite expensive if you need a few! The ones for soldering are cheaper and could be superglued, probably. Even plastic joints off plastic conjuit would do.
Any good builders merchant worth his salt should be able to sort something out for you!

Have you tried getting a hack saw, cutting a small notch and then wireing the two sections together, using the notch to stop things sliding?

OH has made a cloche and tomato frame from conduit using connecters. Can't take a photo as I do not have batteries for the camera but they are round with holes which takes the conduit at right angles, hope this helps

Yeah - I get the idea. So.... drilling holes and wireing is out to? Just trying to think up ways to save a few bob and a few days!
