  • my apple tree has arrived i am so happy

i can't believe it my apple tree has arrived and it is a brilliant one, they have potted it for me and it's in full flower, it was suppose to be bare rooted but this one is the best yet, a very thick stem and solid.
i would like to put this one in the ground would it be ok to take it out of the pot and put in straight into the ground tomorrow.
i am so happy with this lovely tree.
my peach tree is also doing ok considering i thought this one was not going to survive, i cut it right back and there are already lots of new shoots.

Sounds great. Interesting that you got a potted up tree when you'd ordered a bare root. Where did you order it from and what type of apple is it? And pics please!

hi i got it off garden bargains.com. it's two different types of apples that has been grafted on.
i have added some photos, ignore the plant growing around the top of the tree, that's my grape vine.

Why have you got an apple tree in your greenhouse Rita? They need to be outside.

Which 2 varieties of apple are they, Rita. The blossom looks very white - or is it the camera?

Which varieties are grafted? The last time I saw blossom that white and flat, it was on Golden Delicious.

well done Early Fruiter it is golden delicious, how can you tell just by the flowers, i wouldn't be able to tell even from the fruit, the other side is Elstar not so many flowers on that side.
The apple tree was only delivered yesterday and as it has been really windy here today i stuck it in the greenhouse with my other two, i have been digging the garden and preparing it, i was going to leave it in the pot but it's to small. i am hoping to get the cherry out in the ground tomorrow as well.
