Wow. They really do grow big. Might have to have a serious think first. At what age did it start fruiting?looks great though :-)

You might consider growing kiwiberry, grape size fruit, same taste, not furry, hardier.

Can't remember sorry - it was slow to start then suddenly galloped away. Some years it fruits, others are pathetic. Mine's fighting back already this year and I've had enough of it. This may be its final year, unless I can train it to grow horizontally. Probably all my own fault, I should have given it tough love from the start instead of thinking how nice it was to see it growing so well and letting it range free

Mine are about 30 ft long by 10 ft wide. It would overwhelm a greenhouse, makes a grapevine look meek in comparison. The only protection needed, if you wouldn't prefer it to be dead, is fleece on the buds in a cold spring. Mine are trained over a metal framework over a path and make it nice and shady - but the path runs alongside a greenhouse and it would like to cover that too. I cut off about 50 ten foot shoots each year.

I may have caused mine to cease to exist, then. Has been in a pot on the plot for nearly 2 years, and it still brown and sticky.

My jenny just arrived. I am really happy with it. It is over 5ft tall and already has lots of kiwi on. I would highly recomend buying 1 from blackmoor nursery and they are only £10 on offer at the minute. Bargain.

Good luck!! I expect you meant to say that it has lots of kiwi buds or leaves if mine is anything to go by

It was probably 2ft tall when they posted it.
