  • Colloidal silver as fungicide?

Has anyone tried colloidal silver as fungicide on plants?

I was told a few years ago to use it on citrus plants when rooting them, i did and they were fine, no rot...but would there have been any anyway its not a real test using it when there isnt a problem?

Ive got downy mildew on a few small grape vines in pots I have in the UK , the bigger vines dont seem affected
There doesnt seem to be anything to use on downy mildew to cure it, only to stop it before its in the plant , dithane did work but is now banned in Europe

So im thinking to buy some of this colloidal silver and try it, apparently it works, Im just wondering if anyone has tried it?

I haven't tried it - and don't intend to - but I am aware that silver is a good anti-microbial agent (anti-bacterial and anti-fungal). Modern medical devices sometimes include silver to reduce the risk of the patient getting an infection.

Silver works well on burns too they use silver derivative bandages in the burn units. Recuses infections and speeds up healing too

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory....
