Honeyberry help

Hi everyone.i have 3 4 year old honeyberry bushes at the minute.the problem is they have been producing fruit for the last 4-5 weeks.maybe 1 fruit per bush per 2-3 weeks.is this normal?also the fruit that i have tasted are pretty egg shaped and quite small,whitish covering over the blue fruit.they tasted foul.so bitter that made them unedible,i love licking limes and lemons so it must be very bitter.lol.
any help into what i should do,how long to leave the fruit on the bush.

I have had two different honey berry plants producing fruit for two years. Whilst each differs in taste slightly, they both resemble TCP when eaten - disgusting. So much so I have decided to relocate them to my Sister's ornamental home garden - will try and pass off as a birthday present end enthuse about the lovely flowers!! Gotta be ruthless - no edible fruits and you go! Plenty more palatable options out there. I'm eyeing up the Goji berry as we speak - read on here they taste like Kak too!! It will be allowed to fruit just the once if that's the case and then be ejected!! :0)

i feel so let down after reading that they taste like blueberries mixed with honey.all i get is a foul rancid taste similar to drinking snake blood.very not impressed

They are sour, but some varieties are quite OK (I have 3 plants and one is OK). You really need to let them ripen as long as possible on the plant before eating them

Mine are sour too, despite being the correct colour, ie.ripe. Mine is coming out at the backend of the year.

Here is my harvest this year. The ones on the right are from honeyberry bushes bought from t&m about 4 years ago. The bushes now large but this is all I managed to get. The taste was simply yak, bitter and really unpalatable.

The large ones on the left are from bushes I bought this year , the taste varies between varieties but still on the sourish side but edible. Considering this is the earliest berries we can harvest in the year I will keep them. The ones that produced the smallest ones and bitter will have to go I am afraid.

I took mine out of the allotment and relocated it to Tansy's garden at home. The birds can have the berries. Will not be buying another.

I wouldn't bother with a goji berry. Vile and look horrible.
