  • Plum tree - tiny leaves and no fruit.......

Compared to my plum trees at home my tree on the allotment has tiny leaves. Not sure if it's a varietal thing or a problem?

There is also no fruit 2 years on the run. The home trees are laden!

Should I use it for wood????

    Loving my allotment!

Did you plant the tree, or was it there when you got the allotment? Have you ever had fruit off it?

            I thought that too, when I read it back - there's a "," missing

I'm a sucker for a plum tree! I inherited this one. The fruit in the first year was wonderful! Not much of it but wonderful. FB. I will take some photos and post them later today.

              Thanks guys.....

I also have a problem with my pear tree. We planted it two years ago and I suppose it was about two years old. There was no fruit last year as the blossom was caught by a late frost here in France.
This year it produced leaves then blossom and then 6 or 7 plums. Now the leaves have died and the plums have shriveled and died. Can anybody offer an explanation please.

                  Drought stress?
                  Canker?

Not sure whether you're asking about a pear or a plum though - in your first sentence you say "pear" but later you speak of "6 or 7 plums".
Still think it's most likely drought or canker (even if either fungal or bacterial/fireblight canker in the case of pear).
