  • Any more?

I've stopped overwatering, I've tidied them up and taken off the brown leaves and old stalk heads and picked lots of strawberries.... until now. There are a few on the plants that are in the middle of ripening but not much else going on.

Am I going to get anymore fruit from now on this year?

Probably not. Tis a short but sweet season.

Yep, it's only a 2 week season if you grow them naturally. Supermarkets would have you think that strawbs grow all year round, even in the depths of winter

I've picked ever bearing ones in September, so it depends on the variety. They seem to have a rest in the middle of summer and then pick up again after a few weeks.

Yes, that's the problem, the supermarkets have confused me. I've never grown them before, but I have enjoyed them so much.... sad to see them go but will be glad to see them back next year
