Peach Tree - Avalon Pride - When to harvest?

Hi Guys,

I've had a good old trawl through Google to find an exact (or at least weekly) date for when to harvest Avalon Pride (Peaches) and I've been unable to find one.

I'm desperate to not pick these peaches under-ripe for fear of not appreciating their taste at their fullest.

I've uploaded some pictures which I took a few days ago, since then the one in the picture has become increasingly.. soft?

Are there any tips to test whether it's ready to pick?







This is my first year of peaches so I've never seen them like this before!

Pick one and find out. If you wait too long then they go mouldy on the tree.

They look ready to me - specially if they'e going soft(ish).

you can smell them when they are ripe,a lovely scent....enjoy..

I've ordered one of those too - is that grown undercover?

It's grown in a greenhouse.

I can sadly report that the peaches taste like water. No flavour whatsoever, well, all those which I have picked thus far at any rate.
