heres a pic of the gooseberry area
6 plants across by 9 rows down
on the plot
row of my own bred japenese wineberry (seem to handle cold a little better than the original I bought )
then the gooseberry area, beyond that row of hybrid berries then a strawberry bed (moschatas, chiloensis, virginiana type strawberrys) then rhubarb patch around 20 varieties, then my polytunnel housing all my American imports and peach trees and any ltttle experiments im doing
enjoy stew
my middle (original plot) holding approx 70 varieties of currants (white , pink, black ,red, an albino blackcurrant which is a bit strange once tasted never , ever forgotten
also some of my strawberry experiments in pots
stew
thank you, they all my favourites in different ways, the albino blackcurrant for instance was imported from France, a favourite due to its rank taste, Every time I go past it I eat a few berries do a twitchy little dance due to flavour just to ensure the berries haven't improved in any way
there is that much fruit even the birds get tired of it, I think this year there so fed up there hanging round the blackberry bushes to come into fruiting
