  • strawberry plants - dead or alive?

Got a hanging basket from a diy store with 3 plants in it about 4 months ago. Around two months ago it got knocked off by some workies and the plastic pot split , tried taping it up but it must of caused the plants to die back (water running through too quickly?)

I finally took the plants out and repotted. I guess I'm asking if the two of the are lost causes? (The other 3 was the main plant in the planter and two propagated from runners earlier.

    Thanks in advance.

If you can't see any leaf growth then I'm afraid they're dead. As you say, probably lack of water.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Yeah that's what I thought, wasn't sure if it would regrow next year on not though. There was a small leaf growth when I repotted but guess I was too late

You could plant them out and forget about them until the spring. Then, you'll either have a nice surprise or they'll be compost
