  • Melon Hammocks ?

    Any design criteria ?
Material, size, (assume) off the ground.
Getting a good size now, about 5 inches posibly 6, think they need support/lifting or something.

Minor problem there, just me and male.
Suspect if I ask friend 3 doors down she would get slightly worried.
Equally if she said "Fine, no problem here's one." not sure about what I would do.

Suppose I would get in trouble if I asked what cup size you used ?

I'm trying very very hard to be serious about this - honest
What about an old Tshirt supporting it with 2 strings/wires/sticks running from the hem up and out of each arm holes?. A string vest might be better - though where you get those I haven't a clue!!
Or you could buy some ladies underwear, sent in plain wrapping.............

I did think afterwards I should have left it ambiguous and just said "I would not want size they were."

Don't think I should ask for donations do you ?

What makes it worse is that I have 2 melons, a pair.

A little bit of goggling shows that a 42K bra will fit a water melon (or two) if you are shopping . I'd better not put the link on here Maybe you could ask your neighbour if she has anything in that size

I'll let you know right after I am discharged from the intensive care and multiple injury ward's.
Equally with a male mind (OK and eye's) I can say she is not 42K.

I've got a cracking pair of melons in my poly. I grew mine up a string attahed to the wire that runs the length of the poly under the roof and when it reached the top of the string, it crawled its way along the wire.

So the 2 fruit that are on the bit on the wire are easy to support with some scraps of net tied to said wire. They are starting to get quite big though so I reckon I'll need a DD net before long.
                  Are y'oroight booy?

I used one of my daughters old school jumpers that didn't fit anymore. I cut the arms off and tied string on each end to make said hammocks.

They have grown a bit since this was taken (3 weeks ago)
