Earlier this year I posted about mt cherry tree fan trained dropped all but three fruits.
Since then it has gone ballistic with two or three feet of growth mainly at the top of the fan.
I pruned bacteria to five leaves during July August but it has put on even more growth.
I am not sure what to do next or when.CAN ANY ONE ADVISE?
The tree is now six years old and I have had about 30 fruits I that time.

From what i have read you only prune in the summer if you want to stunt the plant/tree's
    growth.

It puts more effort into putting out more shoots or branches instead of putting all its energy into the rot system.

A better root system = a better plant for next year.

Best to prune in Spring for cherry tree's or mid summer. Bit late now i think?
