I check my fruit trees over every few days and apart from a few greenfly (and aforementioned pear problem) they have been fine. Have just been out and found tiny black bug things on one of my apples. Any idea what they are? Thanks

Probably dead aphids. Nothing to worry about.

Looks like caterpillar frass to me. Blue tits have probably had the caterpillars, or they've crawled off to pupate
