Hi, I have 2 cherry trees that I only planted this year which I would like to move to another location on my lottie, when is the best time to attempt this?

Fruit trees are best moved in the winter, when they've lost their leaves. I usually shunt mine around between December and early February, but avoid doing it when it is very wet and the soil is waterlogged/difficult to work. A possible benefit of doing it earlier rather than later is that it gives the root system longer to bed in (i.e. establish good root/soil contact) before it has to get active and support next season's growth.

I agree. Also avoid periods when temperatures are freezing or the ground is frozen.
