    Newbie silly question time ......

I have just finished my green house and am going to put some strawberry pots in planted now over winter. I have just sent for some bareroot plants which have arrived with a lot of very healthy looking foliage. Silly question is should I remove the foliage for over winter or leave alone ?

Sorry if a stupid question !!! LOL

I'd leave the foliage on and let them die off naturally over winter. Most plants transport the majority of the breakdown products formed during leaf senescence (e.g. amino acids and sugars) down into the roots where they can be stored until needed for new growth in the spring. Removing healthy leaves robs them of this source.
