Blueberry recommendations

Mrs JJ would like to add a blueberry bush or two to our fruit area. Can anyone make a recommendation for variety?- good flavour as well as good yield preferred. Probably planted into 30 litre containers in the first instance if I haven't managed to get a bed prepared for them. I understand they like a more acidic soil.

Chandler are the largest fruit I have - much larger than my others. I also have brigitta, early blu (always seem a bit sharp - but could be lack of sun on that bush) and I've 3 other unknown varieties.

There's also the new pink varieties which might appeal.

to be honest, I can't tell the different apart in taste - only size (my pink ones haven't fruited yet).

Mine are all in pots.

Mine are in the ground just transplanted from where they had been for five years and just produced their first decent crop into my new plot. Mine are a bit of a heinz 57 as well but to me that's great because they do seem to need cross pollinating and the more varieties, the better. I had 15 bushes but a couple had no roots to speak of when lifted from the ground so they were chucked out. is 13 unlucky?

Thanks Chris, Have just been looking at some pink ones- Pink Lemonade- self fertile early fruiting which look good.

Thanks AP, so if I had a pink variety as well as the blue would the pink eventually be lost through cross pollination?

Probably worth getting another couple then just in case then?

I have no experience of pink uns so you are on your own there matey . My burfday next month so my wish list will have a couple of BB bushes on it
