Blueberry bush and strawberry patch what do you think

What do people think of my blueberry bush and strawberry patch?

Does the strawberry patch look normal for this time of year?

Also do you think Ill get blueberries this year? I bought it last year and it was just a dry twig, its looking more healthy now but hoping to get some blueberries from it in 2014.

Its just in the blue tub till I find a place for it to go x

Strawberries look fine to me, if a little close together. Can't help with the blueberry I'm afraid. Is the blueberry container slatted all the way down? Only reason I ask is the roots will dry out quickly when it finally stops raining.

Yeah its just a wash basket wendy. I didnt think about the roots... Think ill plant it in the ground tomorrow.
I only got something like 20 strawberries last year could this be to over crowding?

Your strawberry plants are still very small Jen. They don't look overcrowded, but they do look to be very young plants. They should do much better this year.

Strawberry plants do best if spaced around 2ft apart. I think that may answer your question. So far as your blueberry plant is concered, they can take up to 5 years to establish after being planted out.

aw bit gutted about the blueberry plant thought 2 years at most.
