I planted some strawberry seedlings 20 x Temptation and 60 x Mignonette after about a week around 2/3rds of the Mignonette germinated and 1 of the Temptation and so far I have 6 total temptation germinated but they don't seem to grow anymore and look exactly like they did a few days after germination approximately a month ago is this normal? Pictures below temptation on left

Thank you all for the answers. Should I just leave them and wait? Do they still need the extra heat from the radiator as I am worried about them drying out can I turn the radiator off? The chillies I planted at the same time are doing fine and growing well on the same window sill do they need less light &/or just have more energy in the seeds?

I think you are probably doing the best you can at the moment. Are they on your sunniest window sill? If the chillies are ok then I think they are just slow to get going. I don't know how long strawberries take to get to fruiting size but I suspect it is longer than chillies, so are probably just a bit slower overall. Don't know if anyone else has grown both of them and can comment. In your photo your seedlings look quite damp so I don't think drying out from the radiator is an issue.

I grew temptation from seed, they were very slow to get going, but the second year they were big bushy plants,i also noticed they were later fruiting than the elsanta, mine were in the unheated green house from seed, then outside from the summer onwards, treat as other strawberry plants from then on,the ones in the open ground did way better than those in containers, sigpicAnother nutter ,wife, mother, nan and nanan, love my growing places, seed collection and sharing, also one of these

Thank you for all the answers I will see how they go. I mainly grew them as I got a load of special offer seeds last year and they were the earliest to plant according to the packet and I have no idea where they will go if they survive to go outside and I also have 5 cucumber 8 chilli 8 (so far) sweet pepper and want to plant some parsnips, carrots, onions and other veg all in a limited space. But I am still learning slowly mainly thanks to you guys.

All these things to grow and no where to plant them!
I dare say a lot of peeps have this problem, I certainly do.(after 40 + years)
1st lesson I suppose, is grow a little and grow them well.Feed the soil, not the plants.
(helps if you have cluckies)
