I'm trying some Galia melons for the first time this year. I considered watermelons as a bit of an experiment but apparently they spread out like crazy and I've only got a 8x6 greenhouse! I've currently got four seedlings happily living on a warm windowsill and once the weather gets a bit warmer they'll be going into pots in the greenhouse. I'm hoping to grow them up some kind of frame to save space. No idea whether or how it's going to work but at least I'll have fun trying!

Last night I was surveying the garden whilst shifting stuff about, and have decided not to bother with the Sweet Granite seeds I got this time round. I'll probably still try the Minnesota Midget though.

That said, if I end up with any unallocated large planters once I've got the template layout completed, I might put a Sweet Granite in that and take it round to my Father's house as he has about 4 times the space I have
