Chocolate vine leaves covered in black spots

So as the title says my chocolate vine I planted last year is doing well but the leaves are covered in black spots. It started at the bottom and is working it's way to the top. It's planted on a south facing fence so doesn't get too much sun at this time of year and the soil isn't water logged.

Tried to google it but all it said was doesn't suffer much from pests or disease.

Anyone have any ideas? Will post a picture of them tomorrow.
