  • leaning apple tree

    Hello,

I was given my father in law's apple tree 2 years ago. last year it didn't seem to do so well, no fruit on and the leaves were not as healthy looking as i would have expected.

This winter i gave it a winter prune and buds are coming on all the branches, which seems promising. However it looks like it is leaning and it does not feel very sturdy if i move it. should i put a stake next to it and strap it up straight? if i put a stake in could i damage the routes? should i just leave it?

    thanks for any answers.

I would stake it Mark, better than it falling over all together.
