Highway guys,
In another thread I have been talking about a greenhouse I collected from a lady's garden in Bristol. She had just moved in and wants to turf over her whole plot!
Once I had the greenhouse loaded up I checked that she was keeping the fruit beds - nope! So I took out her rhubarb, some strawbs and two whole rows of established raspberry's.
Now I know moving any of these mid season while in full growth is far from ideal but they were free so worth a try.
I need your help with two things:
- What should I do to maximise the chance of them surviving?
What type of raspberry is it?
I have enclosed photos. One row was full of smaller plants with much finer leaves, very thin canes and half the height. The second row had much taller thicker stemmed plants with bigger more established foliage.
If I were to hazard a guess I would say tall ones were summer and smaller ones were autumn?
Picture order is one of the rows, one of the large plants, one of the smaller and one of them packed up.
Dean.
