I HAD A VICTORIA PLUM TREE IT BE 4 YEARS OLD IT HAS NOW DIED WHY I DO NOT KNOW , I WILL HAVE TO TAKE IT OUT , I WAS THINKING OF A "COES GOLDEN DROP " ANY BODY GOT ONE AND ARE THEY GOOD CROPPERS PLEASE

Hello Gulliver, welcome to the vine! I don't know much about fruit trees so I can't help much either but we do have a few experts that pop in often! As Wendy said if you give your location and growing condition/soil etc it will help them with their advice.
Although I did g@@gle and that particular variety is self-sterile and needs a pollination partner. Do you know if there are any damson, gage or plum trees nearby?

I have Coe's Golden Drop. planted three years ago. Lots of flowers this year and now a fair crop of plumlets . . I've wanted to plant a tree and taste the fruit for twenty-five years so its quite exciting. apparently a light cropper, its in a row of six gages so I should end up with enough plums. I'd suggest you keep the new tree far away from the site where the Victoria died

I have plum trees, cherry trees, pear trees ,and apple trees all around me, i just do not know why my plum died we had stacks of fruit last year but it has given up , i feed with chicken muck, potash. keep it watered, i live in the most easterly town on the map but that should make no difference my neighbours tree is full
