Just 1 blueberry bush

Has anyone only ever had one bluebery bush and had fruit?

Just got two myself.....everything I've read says you will get fruit with only one, but more from each plant with two.
Also read they should be at least 3 metres apart......wish I'd known that first! Will have to do a bit of jiggling for space!

I've only got one, didn't get much fruit off it last year (it's first year). I remember reading that you are better with two.

I only have one and don't even have any flowers on it so not sure what difference another plant would make! Wondering if it's because it's the first year I've had it?

I have 1 four year old blueberry in a pot and I'm very happy with the amount of fruit I get from it. Can't see how it could produce any more fruit than it does.

I got this one last year as a cane from the £1 shop, its took a full year for it to grow branches and it looks like its getting leaves on it but nothing else is showing, then I seen on the edible garden that you need 2 and I thought Id ask on here.

What time of year do you get your fruit Tadpole123?

The first berries have just formed so won't be much longer before I'm eating them. Mine was a 99p store twig too.
1st year, they grow into something resembling a bush, 2nd year more growth (and the odd flower)that the fruit will next year, 3rd year lots of fruit.
I feed it monthly from march onwards and that's about it.

I heard that you get a much better crop with two but you will certainly get something from one.
I only have one plant and I had a fair amount of fruit off it last year. Mine is just finished flowering and it looks as if I'll get enough to make a blueberry cheesecake from it

Please can you tell me what do you feed your blueberry bushes with? I have 4 bushes but I don't think any of them are older than a year so I've had no fruit yet.

I havent fed mine at all???
It was in compost till about 2-3 months ago but Ill have to look into that as I thought sun and rain was all it needed :/

when looking for info it says feed occasionally though the growing season with tomato feed.
That seems easy enough

I only had one bush last year, and had a reasonable crop considering the age of the bush. I have an extra 6 bushes this year, but they're not old/established enough to give any meaningful contribution. To all intents and purposes I still only have one fruiting bush (even though a couple of others have a nominal three or four flowers), but that doesn't concern me at all

I got this from pound land earlier so ill just use t his on my blueberry bush as well as my tomatillos, strawberries n all the other fruit.

On the topic of feed, I just use an ericaceous feed (for rhodadendrons and stuff) and as I mentioned before, had a fair crop of berries from it. I'd considered using tomato feed, but was worried about shifting the ph balance, paricularly as I'm not using a water butt/rain water (no space) during dry periods

Mine gets ericaceous feed if I have any and tomato feed if not, but I do mix it with rain water if poss.
