Hi I have recently purchased and planted two Apple trees ( about 8 weeks ago ) one was a Bramley and the other a Braeburn both approx 1.5 metre high ! , they are both planted in the same garden away from any walls and boundaries , however the Braeburn does not seem to be budding or showing any sign of life or changes different to as it was when purchased !!! . Any advice welcome 😳😀 Not sure how to upload pic but will do when I work out how to

It may simply have not liked being moved and replanted at this time of year.
I am thinking of moving a couple of mine and realise that if I do I can expect them to react badly at present time.
Are there other apples (even crab apples) around you?
The Bramley is a triploid, vigorous, but the pollen is sterile. So the Braeburn will pollinate the Bramley but the Bramley will not pollinate the Braeburn.

by Marb67I have just given it a real pruning before it comes into leaf in the hope of getting some regeneration and the tree not having to work as hard getting water and nutrients higher up. If this doesn't work I'll replace it next year with something else.
