  • blackberrys! (or is that blackberries)

The brambles on my non cleared bit of land are ripening - they are not very tasty - but black this early in July is amazing ....anybody else got them this early?

    Gosh..no!
    That's early!
I always relate picking blackberries in the UK to going off to Uni...so September!!!

Yep, it is earlier over here, but no, mine are just small and green with some flowers still hanging on in there.

With the lack of rain and sunshine, they should get more tasty pretty soon!
Let us know how you get on eh?

Mine are only just forming fruits, are they definitely blackberries not one of the many hybrids of them? My tayberries are fully ripe and although not ripening to black they are now ripe and there may be other ones that look more similar to that parent. Just a thought.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Mine have loads of fruit but red and hard. I was not expecting fruit till aug/sept but maybe they will take that long to ripen

Mine are only at the flowering stage, and I thought this was early.
