We have just started a strawberry patch with 6 plants, which have now finished fruiting. We've potted up a number of runners which are already well-established and ready to plant out. However we are hoping to move house before next summer and would like to take these strawberries with us to start a new patch wherever we end up. Is it OK to just pot these new plants on and keep them in pots until we move, and should I cut back the foliage on them at all?

Yes they'll be fine in pots until you are ready for them. You may need to repot into bigger pots and obviously keep them watered. I'd leave the foliage until it naturally dies back and then have a tidy. -
I rooted my runners in small pots last summer and left them. in spring i planted them into big pots and they have done really well and I had a bumper crop of the new plants.
As I wasn't sure if I had to cut dead leaves off i just let them die down and they soon started growing again come spring.
