Vines - how vigorous?

I ahve a VINE IN POLYTUNNEL FOR two months now. It has barely started growing. I believe it was bought in last year by garden centre so maybe a bit pot bound.

Anyway it has been rooted outside and trained under edge of polytunnel. Point is will I be able to use vine leaves in recipes or will I harm it?

Depends how many leaves you want to harvest.

As long as you leave a reasonable proportion to maintain photosynthysis (sp?) you should be ok.

I would suggest you never take more that one fifth of the leaves.
