Where can I get Ecratious peat free compost?

It seems a nightmare to get, Im limited to homebase b&q and wickes.....

Yeah I did veggie haha, late at night posts do nothing to help my intelligence...#

I read you can make your own but I would have to wait till christmas when everyone is throwing their pine trees away because there is no natural ones round here x

I normally avoid peat based compost. However, when I needed small quantities of ericaceous compost for planting a camellia, I bought the stuff in the above link. Probably has peat in it. Sadly. I haven't seen ericaceous compost marked as peat free at local garden centres. Apparently Vital Earth make it.

Spent coffee grounds are beneficial to acid loving plants so if you've got a St4rbucks or Co5ta nearby, ask them for the spent grounds.

I've heard that too and meant to pop in. Do they just give you a bag full of them? I would assume you have to compost them down first or they would absorb nutrients from the soil.

Before I retired, I used to get black bags full from work. It was mainly used round my Blueberry plants.

That reminds me - our local Sains cafe has a notice up saying free spent coffee, so worth asking there if you have a store convenient to you.
