Hello grapeviners!
I have a fruit tree that I can't identify, any keen tree spotters out there that can help me? First correct answer wins my eternal gratitude...
This is the only fruit on the tree this year, obviously not ripened, and possibly sick. I am informed it fruits in November every other year and it has a yellowish brown glossy bark with lenticels like a prunus. But from the fruiting body it certainly isn't one of those. It's about 2 metres tall but may be immature. I wonder if it is a persimmon perhaps?
Thanks people. Hope you can shed some light on this dark horse of a tree.
