I have several plants I grew from cuttings last year and I want to move them. There seems to be alot of advice that says autumn or early spring would it not be better when they are totally dormant?

Moving black currants

I gave 4 of my blackcurrants a good soak the other week and lifted them the next day to their new spot and as we have been getting cooler weather here they haven't dropped a leaf, given a chance plants want to grow, so well watered ones transfer reasonably easily, just give them good soil to grow into and they are away, they may sometimes sulk for a week or two but I have never had one die on me when moving them "in leaf" and some don't seem to realise they have been moved as seems to be the case with my front garden blackcurrants.....
