I've not grown that variety but they should fruit next year, play it by ear & if you think they are growing a bit too tall, put some strings up for support.

I have Polka, I love their big fat berries and almost spineless canes. Mine got to a record 5ft this year (lots of sun & rain at the right times).

I have had my polka for over 5yrs,geat size and taste,i tie in the late stems that wont fruit and trim them to5-6ft and they then crop earlier spreading your cropping time and seemingly larger crops, we still have loads in the freezer +jam+ ice cream + sorbet + mousses....just lovely..
