Has anyone grew black strawberries? Just out some seeds and wondering what the taste is like? And if the growing process and held are as good as regular red varieties

Sorry to put a dampener on it, but the only times I have heard of black strawbs are fake or have been created by splicing with fish dna
There is a purple variety but not available in the uk as far as I am aware
