Chilean guava plants

I have a couple of Chilean guava plants that are still in pots. They produced a few fruit last year - but not a huge amount.

Would it be best to keep these in pots so I can move them into the poly tunnel to overwinter (or permanently?) - or just plant outside in the fruit garden at some stage?

Mine are left outside in fairly large pots as I believe their hardy down to minus figures and like ericaceous compost but I only got them last year so I cant really speak with much confidence on the best way to treat them. Hopefully someone with more knowledge on the matter will be along soon.

Ive got two of these plants up my allotment seem to be growing well and so far not affected by the frost. I only planted them last may though

chilean guava

I have just bought a chilean guava from waitrose web site lovely strong bush almost 2ft plus pot variety is Ka Pow by James Wong fruit are 50% bigger so its said, also frost sensitive , think mine will be in a cold green house just to be sure but going to take cuttings

Hi I bought 2 plants from Suttons a year ago. Got about 5 berries this year in November, picked when they felt a little soft. Tasted like soap. I wonder if the climate is too cool where I live??? They are in big pots on a warm patio.

Ive moved mine into the polytunnel for overwintering, but I might leave one in there to see how it does this year
