Anyone tried plum- Aprimira

I don't suppose anyone has tried this variety - eaten or grown? I have just been given a tree (yes lucky me but where to put it ) I have had a gurgle and it is supposedly a cross between an apricot and mirabelle but actually a plum. Also the flavour is meant to be fantastic, but like all people selling it everything tastes fantastic if it helps them sell it . So first hand opinions greatly welcomed
