I have just made a 4 foot square raised bed out of sleepers that is about a foot in hieght.
I have filled it with ericaceous compost, (about 12 big bags)over 600 litres.
I plan to put my blueberries in it that are already growing in pots and then mulch the top with small pine needle branches laid on top of each other.
When would be the best time to put my potted blueberries in my new bed?
Is there anything else I can add to the compost to give it a bit of back bone, it's just pure bouncy compost at the moment, how about some water granules and maybe dig some pine needles into it?
I also have plenty of liquid feed I got reduced from wilko's at the back end of last year but will wait until I plant them before using that.
