Ive got a small raised bed in the centre of the greenhouse and im going to try and do what they did on beechgrove a couple of years back and get 2 crops out of it.

Ive got a really early variety called vibrant and when they have finished ill replace them with a late variety (malwina)

In the winter ill put both varieies in raised beds outdoors which will be free by then.

I have approx 40-45 plants, they are a mixture of strawberry (mostly Elsanta), Framberry (Red Dream?) and Pineberry (can't remember). I did lose a few over the winter as they were undercover and I stupidly let them dry out. Either way I did need to cut back cos I don't have that much room.

I have 30 plants, a mixture of different strawberry types (mostly Elsanta I think) plus one or two pineberries and a framberry. I was given most of them, they aren't all labelled. I want to get a few 'Mara des bois' too.

I also have around 90 alpine strawberry plants growing too, a mix of red and white fruited ones. I really like alpine/wild strawberries, not tried white ones before though.

What a chilling (but informative) account! :P Haven't had any of these yet thankfully. Good to know what one is up against.

I've got about 6 in pots and 6 in the ground. Hoping to expand quite a bit this year though via runners. I love strawberries so much

I've got a patch of about 30 (From last years runners), and a pot with the original 8 in. They look to be coming back to life now but we'll see, as this is only my second year growing strawbs and it was their first winter. Poor babies.
